About

My art is not about the why?, it’s about the why not?. Although whys are common and usually harmless towards humans, mine is quite terrible and painful. Thinking that resolving this ultimate why, also known as the why am I here?, was supposed to be the key element to make sense of it all and get rid of the burden, I spent years unsuccessfully searching for an answer.

Everything changed when I became a maker, a creative. Shifting my perspective and unlocking my artistic potential has allowed me to move beyond the search for purpose, revealing that this why is no longer necessary or worth answering.

In a reality so defined by the question of why?, I found that exploring the why not? is where the adventure begins. This approach transforms my work into a celebration of the confusing, the absurd, and the emotional. By testing the boundaries of imagination and envisioning what could be rather than what already exists, I developed a process that fosters a sense of freedom and empowerment.

This process is all about utilizing illustration and storytelling to construct vibrant worlds filled with dynamic shapes, colors, and ideas. It is also strongly dependent on employing stylization and surrealism, to create characters and narratives that encourage both myself and the audience to reconnect with their inner child - a version of themselves that embodies a lighter, more playful perspective - and take a short break from the pressure of adulthood.

This is what I do. I aim to remind others of the power of curiosity. I strive to create inviting, imaginative environments for those who may feel lost or overwhelmed, offering them a space where they can exist on their own terms and embrace themselves, their emotions and their power. My work is a tribute to the significance of “why not?”—a call to explore, play, and celebrate the joys of  creativity.
