Comissions
I strive to work on various commissions every year, so I can experiment with my design and discover which projects appeal to me and fit my art style and process.
Soul traits is a screen printing studio in my hometown. The owner of the Studio and dear friend of mine Vagg Aggelopoulos motivated me to work on various of his projects when I first started my artistic journey. Amongst the many commissions I worked on in collaboration with him, my favorites by far were the stickers I made for the studio as well as the screen printed posters for a live screen printing event in collaboration with a local record store.
Humanity’s Stars is a futuristic science fiction book by Jamie Olson. I had the opportunity to create the cover for this book by using the analogical painting Jamie created and refining it by embedding digital elements, doing colour correction and adding the necessary text .
During the first year of my studies I got the opportunity to participate in a design competition organized by Metropolis Music Festival in Rotterdam. I was able to make a design for one of the bands participating in the festival, called ‘Library Card’. ‘Library Card’ is a post - punk band based in Rotterdam, that writes dreamy songs and accompanies their music with strong visuals. Throughout the creative process, I had the pleasure to discuss with the band’s singer and have a short interview with them via texts in order to get inspired.
My first ever commission in the Netherlands was for Sjaak, a Salmiaki liqueur brand based in Rotterdam. When Morris, the co-owner of the brand, approached me to discuss about some designs for the brand I was super excited to work with him. I ended up designing three pieces for them; a logo more detailed than their current logo at the time, a t-shirt design for a collaboration between Sjaak and Panenka and a poster design for the brand. Working with them and seeing these people slowly build their brand was an amazing, inspiring and fun experience. I even got to be a part of a photoshoot to promote the liqueur!
